Head, Face or Jaw Pain Relief

Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ)

advanced divider

The temporomandibular joint (TMJ) is the hinge-joint that connects the jaw to the skull. Located just in front of the ear on each side of the head, these joints are very flexible and allow the mouth to open, close, and move side-to-side while talking, chewing and yawning.

Problems with the temporomandibular joint can result in pain and difficulty eating, as well as difficulty opening and closing the mouth.

The conditions below are common with disorders of the jaw and the temporomandibular joint. If you experience any of the following symptoms, TMJ rehabilitation may help you.
